Terms & Conditions

Please take a moment to read these Terms & Conditions before using our website or requesting our services. They explain how we work, what you can expect from us, and the responsibilities of both DFS Joinery and our customers.

Our Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the rules for using the DFS Joinery website and the terms that apply when requesting quotations or using our services. They are designed to provide clarity for both our customers and our business, helping to ensure every project is carried out professionally, fairly and with clear expectations from the outset.

Website Use

By using the DFS Joinery website, you agree to use it in a lawful and respectful manner. The information provided on this website is intended for general guidance only and may be updated or changed without notice.

You must not use this website in any way that could damage, disrupt or interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, or use its content for unlawful purposes.

While we make every effort to ensure the information on our website is accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that all content will always be complete, accurate or free from errors.

Quotations & Estimates

All quotations provided by DFS Joinery are free of charge and based on the information available at the time of preparation. Where necessary, a site visit may be required to confirm measurements, materials and the scope of work before a final quotation is provided.

Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Any changes requested after a quotation has been accepted may result in additional costs or a revised quotation.

Acceptance of Work

Work is considered accepted once you have confirmed your quotation, either in writing, by email, or through any other agreed method of communication. By accepting a quotation, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any details outlined within the quotation.

Where applicable, a deposit may be required before work is scheduled or materials are ordered. Any estimated start dates are provided in good faith but may be subject to change due to factors beyond our reasonable control, including weather conditions, supplier delays or unforeseen circumstances.

Customer Responsibilities

To help us complete your project safely and efficiently, customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the property at the agreed times and ensuring that the work area is clear of personal belongings, furniture or other items where possible.

Customers should also ensure that any information provided during the quotation process is accurate and notify us promptly of any changes that may affect the agreed scope of work. Failure to do so may result in delays, additional costs or the need for a revised quotation.

Payments

Payment terms will be agreed with you before work begins and may vary depending on the size and nature of the project. Where applicable, a deposit may be required before materials are ordered or work is scheduled.

The remaining balance is due in accordance with the agreed payment terms set out in your quotation or invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments where permitted by law and may suspend further work until outstanding balances have been settled.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule agreed work, we kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible. This helps us manage our schedule and minimise disruption to other customers.

Where materials have already been ordered or work has commenced, you may be responsible for any reasonable costs incurred up to the date of cancellation. We will always discuss these costs with you before requesting payment.

Liability

DFS Joinery will carry out all work with reasonable care, skill and professionalism. While we take every effort to ensure the highest standard of workmanship, we cannot be held responsible for delays or issues caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather, supplier delays, or unforeseen site conditions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
